A Triumph for Westfield
The Indiana Football Coaches Association’s North/South All-Star Game drew a crowd of eager fans as four standout athletes from Westfield High School took the field, each wearing the colors of the South Team.
Coach Ryan Sosinski, a veteran of the program, was tapped to join the South Team’s staff, bringing his strategic insight to a squad that would ultimately dominate the contest with a 23-9 victory.
Among the players, defensive lineman Ja’Deon Smith earned his spot on the line, showcasing the tenacity that helped the South side pull ahead, and he has already secured a scholarship to continue his career at Saginaw Valley State University.
Linebacker Alex Aramboles, one of four captains for the South side, combined hard‑hitting play with leadership, sealing his commitment to Grand Valley State University as he looks toward the next chapter of his football journey.
Team manager Emme Burtron, the third member of her family to participate in the North/South showcase, coordinated the logistics behind the scenes, following a lineage of Burtron relatives who have contributed to the event.
The win not only highlighted individual talent but also underscored the deep roots of leadership and dedication that Westfield’s football community cultivates, a legacy that will continue as these young men and women head to their respective colleges.
