Northeast Wisconsin Shines on 2026 All‑State Baseball Team
The 2026 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association all‑state team has been announced, recognizing the elite high school players across the state. This year’s list features a strong presence from northeast Wisconsin, where several standout athletes earned top honors.
Brett Paulsen of Kewaunee led the delegation, securing a spot on the first team after finishing the season with an 11‑0 record and a 0.53 ERA. He is the only player from the region to make the first team.
Parker Lawson from Bay Port and Braun Wotruba from Pulaski were selected for the second team. Lawson posted an 8‑1 record with a 0.99 ERA, while Wotruba batted .471, underscoring the depth of talent in the area.
Additional regional players earned third‑team honors and honorable mentions. Maddux Hermus from Kimberly went 8‑1 with a 1.60 ERA, and Jacob Coopman from Menasha finished 3‑2 with a 0.56 ERA. Kaden Kress of Kaukauna batted .447, while Cayden Staffeldt from Seymour posted a .424 average.
The honor roll also includes Eli Hart and Carson Hawley from Bay Port, Mack Krause from Neenah, Cam Munao from Gibraltar/Washington Island, and Carson Staffeldt from Seymour, all recognized with honorable mentions.
Statewide, the players of the year were Jace Mataczynski, Dominic Santarelli, Ira Hilbelink, and Dawson Luther, whose performances set the benchmark for the season.
The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association, which administers the awards, highlighted the geographic diversity of the honorees, noting that the northeast Wisconsin contingent reflects the region’s growing baseball culture.
