The El Paso Soles FC 09 girls soccer team has emerged as national champions in the U17 super group division of the U.S. Club National Tournament, a triumph that underscores the rapid rise of the program in youth soccer.
A decisive victory in Denver
On Friday, July 24, the Soles FC faced off against the Oklahoma Celtics in the championship match and secured a 3‑0 win, a result that capped a tournament in which they defeated opponents from Iowa, California and Oklahoma.
The team’s success was built on a collective effort that blended speed, tactical discipline and clinical finishing, traits that coaches have cultivated throughout a demanding season.
Key figures behind the championship
Head coach Oscar Garcia guided the squad with a clear tactical vision, while the players — including Gabriella Alcantar, Karelym Barrera, Soleh Vallado, Yaretzi Lopez, Aaliyah Sanchez, Suzette Chavez, Brienne Ibarra, Fernanda Salas, Ytzel Chavez, Davi Dominguez, Aveline Molina, Alizze Chavez, Crystal Delgado and Alexiia Tello — executed the game plan with precision.
Beyond the scoreboard, the championship reflects the growing soccer culture in El Paso and highlights the effectiveness of community‑based youth development programs that nurture talent from an early age.
