Despite welcoming a wave of fresh talent — 11 newcomers on offense and 13 on defense — head coach Barkley Christensen says the team’s work ethic has been nothing short of impressive.
Christensen, who has guided the Bulldogs through each of those championship‑contending seasons, highlighted the commitment of the newcomers, noting that their daily grind in the weight room and on the practice field has already begun to shape a competitive unit.
At the heart of the offense, returning quarterback Beau Yeomans is expected to provide stability and poise, having already logged significant snaps last season and now poised to lead a revamped attack.
The preseason projections place Emery High School just a step behind San Juan, with the Eagles returning five starters on each side of the ball and looking to close the gap.
Delta High School, projected third, brings back 13 starters, including key contributors at quarterback, running back and receiver, giving the Panthers a deep roster that could challenge for the summit.
South Sevier, slated near the bottom of the region, will rely on senior leadership and the experience of wide receiver Rayce Freeman, who amassed 477 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2025, hoping to spring a surprise.
