Aggies Set for 2027 SEC Showdown
The Southeastern Conference unveiled its 2027 men’s basketball slate on Monday, outlining an 18‑game conference schedule that will see the Texas A&M Aggies travel and host a series of high‑profile matchups.
Among the highlights, the Aggies will enjoy a string of home games in January against Auburn, Arkansas, LSU and Tennessee, giving fans a chance to experience the action at Reed Arena.
The first league contest is set for Saturday, January 2, when Texas A&M opens its schedule at Reed Arena against Auburn, marking the start of what promises to be a competitive campaign.
The regular season will culminate on Saturday, March 6, with a showdown against the Longhorns in Aggieland, a rivalry that always draws statewide attention.
Under head coach Bucky McMillan, who is in his first year at the helm, the Aggies finished fourth in the SEC last season with an 11‑7 record and secured their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
The team’s offensive firepower was evident last year, as they led the conference in assists (17.8 per game) and bench points (34.9), while ranking among the top five in scoring offense (86.1), three‑point shooting (10.6 per game), steals (8.1) and forced turnovers (13.5).
