The Ahnapee Trailblazers Senior Legion baseball squad saw its season end at the AA regional tournament held in Casco Village Park, where it dropped a 6‑5 decision to Ashwaubenon after a hard‑fought opener that ended 3‑0 in favor of Kewaunee County.
Kewaunee County’s run was short‑lived; the team was eliminated by Denmark in a 14‑4 contest on Saturday, a game that also saw Denmark edge out Kewaunee County 4‑3 earlier in the bracket.
With the victory, Denmark clinched the regional title and a berth in the AA state tournament scheduled for River Falls from July 31 through August 4, while Ashwaubenon’s campaign also concluded in the same round.
