Nebraska’s men’s basketball team is set to open its preseason with an exhibition clash against Kansas State in Grand Island on October 26, a game that will take place at the BigIron Events Center.
Exhibition Schedule Takes Shape
The matchup is part of a broader non‑conference slate that also includes contests against Saint Louis and BYU, with the program permitted to schedule up to three exhibition games for the 2026‑27 season.
Coach Fred Hoiberg, who has been overseeing the team’s preparation, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the Huskers to Grand Island, recalling the program’s storied history against Kansas State, including last year’s Hall of Fame Classic.
Returning to the court will be key contributors Pryce Sandfort, Braden Frager and Connor Essegian, the latter of whom missed the majority of the previous campaign due to an ankle injury but is now fully cleared.
Details on ticket pricing, game times and broadcast coverage will be released later this summer, while the remainder of the non‑conference schedule is slated for announcement later this week.
