The Bayou State Rouxgarou, a junior hockey franchise based in Louisiana, has announced its relocation from Monroe to Shreveport, where it will begin its schedule in September.
A New Home in Shreveport
The team will share its home arena with the Mudbugs, another club in the league, with the Rouxgarou slated for afternoon games and the Mudbugs for evening contests.
Both organizations compete in the NH3HL, a developmental league that serves as a stepping stone to the NAHL, the premier junior hockey circuit in the United States.
The relocation reflects a strategic effort to broaden the league’s presence across the state, giving fans in Shreveport access to high‑level prospects and creating new local rivalries.
