The Southeastern Conference has released the dates for the 2026‑27 Kentucky men’s basketball league schedule, marking the first step in a season that will blend a rugged non‑conference slate with the familiar grind of SEC play.
A demanding non‑conference slate
While exact game times and television assignments will be announced later, the lineup already features marquee matchups against traditional powerhouses such as Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia, each of which promises a test of depth and resilience.
Kentucky is finalizing both its exhibition circuit and the non‑conference portion of its schedule, seeking to blend new talent with the five veterans who helped the Wildcats reach the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32 last year.
Among those returning are Braydon Hawthorne, Malachi Moreno, Trent Noah, Reece Potter and Kam Williams, each of whom contributed key statistics a season ago, while six transfers — including top‑rated 3‑point shooter Milan Momcilovic — are set to add fresh firepower.
Momcilovic arrives after a standout stint at Iowa State where he averaged 16.9 points and hit a school‑record 136 three‑pointers at a 48.7 percent clip, and he will be joined by Zoom Diallo, Jerone Morton, Alex Wilkins, Franck Kepnang and Justin McBride.
New faces and family ties
The roster also welcomes newcomers Zyon Hawthorne, Ousmane N’Diaye and Mason Williams, with Zyon being the younger brother of Braydon and a recent graduate of Huntington Prep, N’Diaye hailing from Dakar and most recently playing for Vanoli Cremona in Italy, and Mason being the son of UK assistant Mo Williams, who posted 15.1 points and 5.4 assists in his high school senior year.
