The 2026 Colonial Athletic Association baseball season is set to culminate with its championship tournament beginning Wednesday in Wilmington, North Carolina, a venue that has become synonymous with the conference’s spring showdown.
Among the standout performers, William & Mary’s Jamie Laskofski has been crowned the CAA’s Player of the Year after posting a .355 batting average and crossing the plate 65 times, a combination that helped him rank among the league’s top ten in eleven different statistical categories.
Pitching excellence was recognized in David Rossow of Campbell University, who earned the Pitcher of the Year award after finishing the regular season with a 9‑1 record and a 2.64 earned‑run average, having fanned 93 batters over 71.2 innings.
Rookie and Defensive Accolades
Freshman sensation Trey Williford from Campbell also received Rookie of the Year honors, posting a 7‑1 record, a 3.34 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 59.1 innings, while also contributing a .342 batting average with 18 doubles, four homers and 35 RBI.
Defensive accolades went to Dylan Johnson, whose .992 fielding percentage and .342 batting average underscored his all‑around impact, a performance that also featured 18 doubles, four homers and 35 RBI.
Chris Marx of Campbell was named Coach of the Year, a tribute to his leadership as the team topped the conference with 85 home runs and 441 runs scored, while the Campbell pitching staff posted the league’s best ERA at 4.51.
