A Community‑Driven Vision for Hockey in Houston
The Houston Hockey Community (HHC) is broadening its mission to make hockey affordable and accessible for families throughout Greater Houston. After acquiring the Houston Premier Sportsplex seven months ago, the organization has turned the venue into a hub for both roller and ice hockey, and now plans a groundbreaking expansion.
Central to the next phase is the construction of Houston’s first nonprofit dual‑surface rink. The facility will feature a full‑size ice sheet alongside a roller/multi‑sport court, allowing year‑round participation in ice hockey, roller hockey, ball hockey, lacrosse, derby and other activities.
Partnerships Fuel the Project
HHC’s growth is supported by collaborations with RCX Sports‑NHL Street, Tim Hortons, the Texas Ball Hockey Association and other local groups. These alliances provide not only financial backing but also expertise in youth development and community outreach.
