Victory Onuetu impressed with his athleticism and physicality, drawing early praise from coaches and teammates as he adjusted to the Big Ten environment.
Will Garlock, the freshman big man, showed a knack for rebounding and a mature feel for the game despite his age, signaling potential for increased minutes.
Eian Elmer, a senior transfer from Miami (OH), demonstrated his experience, length and all‑around abilities, including a 42.9% three‑point clip that highlighted his shooting range.
Coach Greg Gard highlighted the competition for minutes, noting that Onuetu and Garlock could share the paint while Elmer looks to anchor the frontcourt and provide veteran stability.
