Monmouth University’s baseball program received a major boost this week as six of its players were honored on the All‑Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) teams, underscoring the Hawks’ depth and talent heading into the conference tournament.

First Team Highlights

Wyatt Hunt and Nick Lovarco paced the Hawks with First Team All‑CAA selections. Hunt, batting .345 and driving in 42 runs, also ranks third on the squad with 44 runs scored, while Lovarco sits at .335 with 45 runs and 38 RBIs, placing him second on the team in both categories.

Second Team and Honorable Mention

Simmi Whitehill earned Second Team honors, posting a .321 average while delivering a team‑best 43 RBIs and 41 runs. Kevin Opanel, another Second Team pick, went 5‑1 on the mound and added two saves in 18 appearances. Chris Walsh and Austin Beard rounded out the recognition with Honorable Mention nods.

Walsh, one of three Hawks with at least 40 RBIs, hit .294 and scored a team‑high 50 runs, while Beard compiled a 3‑3 record with two saves in over 40 innings of work.
