The event coincides with the 50th anniversary of NASCAR’s first attempt at the endurance spectacle, a milestone that organizers are celebrating with a dedicated weekend of vintage competition.
The Historic Sportscar Racing series, known as HSR and operating under the International Motor Sports Association banner, has built a reputation as North America’s leading platform for classic and historic racing. Its upcoming Le Mans Classic will feature two qualifying sessions and three 35‑minute sprint races spread over three days, giving fans a rare glimpse of historic machinery on one of the world’s most demanding circuits.
Busch, a 2026 inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, brings a storied career that includes 34 Cup Series victories, a 2004 series championship and a 2017 Daytona 500 triumph. The car he will drive is a former Chip Ganassi Racing chassis that Busch himself captured in a 2020 victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
