All‑Big 12 Honors Recognize Cowboy Excellence
The Oklahoma State Cowboys celebrated a double‑digit haul on the All‑Big 12 teams, with Kollin Ritchie and Alex Conover both earning first‑team honors. Ritchie, a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy, tops the club with a .347 average and 29 home runs, placing him among the nation’s most potent hitters. Conover, meanwhile, finished the regular season with a team‑leading .391 batting average and added 14 doubles, 14 homers, 35 RBIs and 15 stolen bases, underscoring his all‑around impact.
Coach Josh Holliday praised the selections, noting that Ritchie’s power surge and Conover’s consistency have been pivotal to the team’s success. Both players have helped Oklahoma State secure a strong seed heading into the Big 12 Tournament, where the Cowboys will open play on Thursday.
The honors did not stop with the first team. Aidan Meola and Ethan Lund were placed on the second team, while Brock Thompson and Stormy Rhodes received honorable‑mention recognition. Meola ranks sixth nationally with 1.42 RBIs per game, and Lund has compiled 119 strikeouts while posting a 5‑1 record on the mound.
Thompson finished the regular season batting .299 and contributed 17 doubles, adding depth to the lineup, whereas Rhodes enters the tournament with a 4‑2 record and two saves across 20 appearances. Their contributions reflect the depth of talent on the Cowboys’ roster as they prepare for postseason competition.
The recognition comes as the program continues to benefit from its affiliation with Oklahoma State University and the Big 12 Conference, both of which have provided platforms for the team’s growth. With a blend of power hitting, solid pitching and savvy base running, the Cowboys look poised to make a deep run in the tournament.
