John Calipari announced that his son, Brad Calipari, will assume the vacant third assistant coaching position at the University of Arkansas.
Brad has been part of the Razorbacks' staff for the past two seasons, where he has been credited with player development and securing commitments from rising freshmen Abdou Toure and Davion Thompson.
The role became open after Chuck Martin departed for a similar position at the University of North Carolina.

John Calipari praised Brad's ability to build relationships and his experience in overseeing foreign recruitment and development.
Brad's background includes stints as director of on‑court player development at Vanderbilt University and Long Island University, as well as a playing career at the University of Kentucky from 2016‑19 before he transferred to Detroit Mercy.
His move is seen as a continuation of the Calipari legacy at Arkansas, where the family connection adds another layer of continuity to the program's recruiting strategy.
The Razorbacks hope his expertise will further strengthen their roster as they look ahead to the upcoming season.
