A Tragic Night on Adams Road
On June 5, a verbal altercation outside a residence on Adams Road in Rankin County escalated into a hail of gunfire that claimed the life of former Mississippi college football player Idarrious Iantron “D.D.” Bowie. The suspect, 19‑year‑old Dominick Delricco Sanabria, was ordered held without bond and will face murder charges.
Investigators say the confrontation involved Sanabria and Ladarious J. Harrison, who argued with Bowie before the shooting. Bowie was struck multiple times in the front yard of the home, leaving him with fatal injuries.
Sanabria is one of six individuals charged in the case. The others include Ladarious J. Harrison, 18, Semiko Crump, 46, Kaylee Trimble, 18, Michael Mitchell, 19, and Kristen Ragsdale, 19. Each faces related charges as the investigation continues.
The community has expressed shock and grief over the loss of a young athlete whose promise on the field was cut short. Local officials say the incident underscores the urgent need for dialogue on youth violence and gun safety, as law enforcement pursues justice for Bowie and his family.
