Luciano Wilson Re‑signs with Orlando Solar Bears
The Orlando Solar Bears have secured forward Luciano Wilson for the upcoming 2026‑27 campaign, confirming a contract that keeps the Canadian‑born scorer in the franchise’s lineup.
Wilson, 24, joins the club after a collegiate stint at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he helped the Engineers capture two Central Collegiate Hockey Association titles in 2023 and 2025, and where he tallied 61 points in 123 NCAA games from 2022‑26.
During the 2025‑26 season he led the team in scoring with 22 points, and he previously recorded 10 points — including three goals and seven assists — in 16 games for Orlando.
Before college, Wilson dominated the British Columbia Hockey League, leading the Penticton Vees to a Fred Page Cup championship in 2022 and posting 179 points in 182 career games.
He also contributed to Minnesota State University‑Mankato, helping the Mavericks win two league championships during his tenure.
The organization highlighted his blend of speed, playmaking and leadership, noting that his return aligns with the Bears’ strategy to blend youthful talent with experienced depth as they aim for a strong season.
