Euroleague Basketball Launches Unified Digital Platform
Euroleague Basketball has unveiled Euroleague Basketball+, a long‑term strategic initiative aimed at creating a single digital ecosystem for European club basketball. The move comes as the organization seeks to streamline competitions, content, fan engagement and commercial operations under one destination.
The platform is designed to serve as a centralized hub for fans while offering clubs, leagues and partners new tools for collaboration, engagement and growth. By linking content, products and services through a shared ecosystem, Euroleague Basketball+ intends to curb the fragmentation that has long characterized the sport.
The initiative was presented in Barcelona, where representatives from EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup clubs, domestic leagues, media outlets, commercial partners and other stakeholders gathered to discuss the vision. The event underscored the collaborative nature of the project and its potential impact across the continent.
Strategic Pillars and Leadership
Euroleague Basketball President Dejan Bodiroga described Euroleague Basketball+ as the ambition to build a connected basketball ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders. He emphasized that the platform reflects a clear direction for the future of European club basketball.
CEO Chus Bueno added that the platform will become the single destination for content and fan experiences, strengthening collaboration among clubs and leagues. He highlighted the importance of a unified approach for both audiences and partners.
Chief Digital Officer Marta Alvarez explained that the platform is crafted to give fans a centralized place to access basketball content, while also providing partners with innovative digital products that will be rolled out in phases.
The organization noted that the launch builds on a record‑setting season marked by strong attendance, heightened digital engagement and expanding global audiences, providing a solid foundation for the new ecosystem.
