Detroit Street Soccer is set to transform the historic Lincoln Factory on July 19 into a vibrant celebration that coincides with the World Cup final, offering fans a free day of soccer, music, fashion and art.
The festival will blend indoor and outdoor viewing zones, letting attendees catch the title match on large screens while also stepping onto a three‑on‑three street‑soccer pitch for pickup games and a competitive tournament.
Food trucks and a dedicated bar will keep the energy high, complemented by a coffee bar for those looking for a caffeine boost between matches, while more than fifteen vendors will showcase vintage jerseys, streetwear and sportswear, turning the event into a pop‑up marketplace.
Where Soccer Meets Street Culture
Co‑founder Ty DeCoeur says the gathering is about spotlighting the alternative culture that has grown around soccer, where the game meets music, art and fashion in a uniquely Detroit setting.
Organizers note that this edition marks the largest event the group has staged since its inception, underscoring the rising demand for free, informal soccer opportunities across the city.
