Cole Butcher, a Nova Scotia‑born competitor in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, will step onto the track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this August for his first race at the 1.058‑mile oval.
Although the speedway is not his hometown circuit, the region’s passionate fans have turned it into a de facto home track for the driver, who has felt the support of New England supporters for a decade.
Butcher’s racing résumé includes a victory in the prestigious Oxford 250, a race that cemented his reputation on the New England circuit, and he now hopes to translate that success into a marquee win at NHMS.
The upcoming event forms part of Doubleheader Saturday at the speedway, featuring the Team EJP 175 NCTS race, and is expected to draw a sizable contingent of spectators from Nova Scotia, Maine and New Hampshire.
Family, friends and long‑time supporters will be on hand to cheer him on, adding an extra layer of motivation as he aims to deliver a performance that matches the enthusiasm of the crowd.
