Gabe Gross, who has served nine seasons as an associate head coach and third‑base mentor for the Auburn Tigers, is stepping into a special assistant role that will broaden his impact beyond the dugout.
In his new capacity he will spearhead athletics engagement initiatives, help drive fundraising efforts, and make regular appearances on radio and television broadcasts for Auburn baseball, while still maintaining a presence at games.
The move follows a tenure marked by a .286 team hitting average, 640 home runs, and the development of 17 MLB Draft selections, six All‑Americans, seven Freshman All‑Americans and 21 All‑SEC honorees.
Beyond the statistics, Gross reflects on the personal motivation behind the transition: more time with his family and the chance to stay connected to the program he has helped shape for almost a decade.
