Arsenal have officially confirmed that Belgium international Leandro Trossard is set to join Turkish club Besiktas in a deal that could rise to £17 million.
The 28‑year‑old leaves after 174 appearances for the Gunners, during which he scored 36 goals and played a pivotal role in the club’s Premier League triumph.
Deal structure and contract details
The transfer includes an initial payment of £15.3 million with a further £1.7 million in add‑on clauses, and Trossard will travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical with Besiktas.
During Arsenal’s title‑winning campaign he contributed eight goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances, highlighted by a decisive strike against West Ham that helped seal the championship.
The departure marks the end of a three‑year spell in North London and comes as Arsenal consider potential replacements on the wing, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Paris Saint‑Germain’s Bradley Barcola mentioned as targets, while Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis is also on the list.
Manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that the squad will undergo further changes, aiming to reinforce the attack alongside existing talents such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
