McAndrews’ Record‑Breaking Season
Tommy McAndrews anchored the Rams’ offense, topping the team with a .332 batting average, 44 runs scored, 67 hits, 15 doubles, 15 home runs and 53 RBI. His 15 doubles and 15 homers in a single season place him among only two players in school history to achieve that feat, cementing his status as a program cornerstone.
Supporting Cast and Pitching Highlights
Anthony Grabau complemented McAndrews with a .303 average, 53 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, nine homers and 38 RBI while earning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors after starting all 55 games at shortstop. Meanwhile, Chase Hanawalt dominated the mound, fanning 81 batters over 80.1 innings, posting three wins and the team’s lone complete game.
Rookie Breakouts
Freshmen Declan Cawley and Mason Dean earned spots on the league’s All‑Rookie Team. Dean batted .292, scored 30 runs, hit five homers and drove in 29 RBI while stealing 17 bases, showcasing a blend of speed and power that bodes well for the Rams’ future.
