Allentown American Legion Nears Fourth County Title
The Allentown American Legion baseball team is on the cusp of capturing its fourth Mercer County American Legion League championship in just six seasons. A tightly contested 8-5 victory over Princeton Post 218 underscored the team’s resilience and depth as they chase another league crown.
Key contributors for Allentown were Nolan Arnold and Dan Golembiewski, each delivering three hits and driving in multiple runs. Their offensive outburst helped the squad pull away in the later innings and maintain control of the game.
Princeton’s Casey Daigneault also turned in a solid performance, finishing with two hits and three RBIs. The 17-year-old, of French Canadian descent, kept the game competitive and highlighted the talent emerging from the local program.
