University Heights Academy’s Lady Blazers returned from the Bluegrass State Soccer Games in Versailles with a strong showing, finishing the weekend with two wins and a draw.
Opening Victory
The team opened the tournament by routing 14th‑Region champion Estill County 7‑1, a performance that set the tone for the rest of the weekend.
Amoree Owens struck first, opening the scoring before Kate Lynn Gibson added another early goal. The early lead allowed the Blazers to control the tempo and build momentum.
Continued Dominance
UHA followed with a 7‑0 shutout of Mason County, where Kendall Hancock delivered a natural hat‑trick plus an extra goal, showcasing depth in the attacking lineup.
