Georgia’s basketball program has added Gardner‑Webb to its non‑conference schedule, setting up a December 20 matchup that comes with a $95,000 guarantee payment to the Bulldogs. The guarantee is part of a broader arrangement that includes several other guaranteed‑money games against Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida and West Georgia.
The Bulldogs will open the season on November 2 against North Carolina Central before traveling to face North Carolina on November 13 and taking part in the Jimmy V Classic in New York against Duke. Additional high‑profile contests include a home game against Boston College on December 1 and a yet‑to‑be‑dated road game at Georgia Tech.
In total, Georgia plans to play 18 home games next season, nine of which are non‑conference contests, giving the team a substantial home‑court advantage as it navigates a demanding road map.
Coach Mike White returns a core group that includes Blue Cain, Marcus Millender, Kanon Catchings and Kareem Stagg, all of whom contributed to a 22‑11 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance last year.
