La Salle's Chase Swain and Rueben Livingston have been recognized on the All‑Atlantic 10 Conference teams, highlighting a breakout year for the Explorers.
A historic offensive season
Swain, a redshirt‑senior from Elsinboro, New Jersey, earned a first‑team nod in center field after delivering one of the most prolific offensive seasons in program history.
Livingston, a redshirt‑junior from Reading, Pennsylvania, secured a second‑team selection at third base, having hit ten homers and posted a .958 OPS while driving in 38 runs.
The duo helped La Salle set multiple school records, including a single‑season home run total of 78 and 314 walks, while also establishing new marks for hits and runs.
Conference honors
Swain’s numbers were especially striking: he logged 82 hits, scored 63 runs, and topped the conference in nine offensive categories, finishing the year with a .378 batting average, a .485 on‑base percentage and a 1.098 OPS.
He capped the campaign on a 13‑game hit streak, batting .440 with eight multi‑hit games, and he opened the season as the team’s leadoff hitter in 53 appearances.
Livingston’s late‑season surge saw him hit .442 over his final 12 games, adding four homers and maintaining a .305 average while batting in the middle of the order.
The offensive explosion was not limited to the two stars; teammates such as Carter Groen, Alec Welshans and Blake Primrose also contributed to the record‑setting totals.
Conference play featured strong competition from institutions like George Washington, Penn State‑Abington, Manhattan and West Virginia, all of which participated in the All‑Atlantic 10 selections.
