The Humboldt High School football team is gearing up for the upcoming season after finishing last year with a 5‑6 overall record and a playoff defeat at the hands of Middle College, a 42‑8 loss that left a clear imprint on the squad’s resolve.
The early part of the season proved challenging, as the team dropped three games in a row before snapping the skid with back‑to‑back victories that featured a 40‑point outburst and a 62‑point explosion, signaling a shift in momentum.
Building on that surge, the team closed the year by winning three of their final four contests, each contest showcasing an aggressive, high‑scoring offense that kept opponents on the back foot.
