A Global Coaching Presence in Ohio
Spencerville’s boys soccer squad opened its preseason with a unique training clinic that blended on‑field drills with a message of purpose, aiming to sharpen skills before the fall season.
Former Ukrainian professional Andrii Shepelenko teamed up with Pavlo Yevtushenko, a coach from Athletes in Action, to lead the Bearcats through a series of technical and tactical drills.
The coaches emphasized skill development, tactical awareness and mental resilience, using soccer as a vehicle for broader youth empowerment.
Both mentors shared personal testimonies that connected their faith to athletic ambition, urging the young players to carry those values onto the field.
Community observers highlighted the clinic’s impact, noting how international experience combined with a mission‑driven approach to inspire the next generation of local athletes.
