Final Week of Conference Play
The closing stretch of the 2026 Wyoming Legion Baseball season is set to decide which squads will earn spots in the Division I and Division II State Tournaments. Conference play reaches its climax this weekend, with seeding implications hanging on each contest.
In the South Conference, the race for the third and fourth seeds features the Laramie Rangers, Cheyenne Hawks and Torrington Tigers, each looking to lock in a berth that will carry them to the upcoming State Tournament.
Meanwhile, the North Conference sees five clubs — Sheridan Jets, Cody Cubs, Jackson Giants, Powell Pioneers and Lovell Mustangs — vying for the same final two positions, promising a tightly contested finish.
Sheridan will showcase its talent on home soil as it hosts the Bomber Mountain Dogfight baseball tournament on Friday and Saturday, giving local fans a chance to see top prospects in action.
The Jackson Giants are slated to travel to Boise, Idaho, where they will compete in an out‑of‑state tournament that could influence their postseason positioning.
The Cheyenne Sixers, representing the state in a different venue, will take part in the CABA AA World Championship in Lubbock, Texas, adding another layer of competition for Wyoming’s teams.
State Tournament Schedule
The Division I State Tournament is scheduled to begin on July 24 in Gillette, Wyoming, where the top four teams from each conference will converge for a week of high‑stakes games.
A week later, the Division II State Tournament will open on July 30 in Green River, Wyoming, providing another venue for the remaining qualifiers to battle for the state title.
Game schedules remain subject to change, and any updates or adjustments will be communicated through the official contact channel.
