Eastern Michigan wide receiver’s breakout season puts him among the nation’s top NFL Draft prospects

Nick Devereaux, a wide receiver from Eastern Michigan University, has been named to the 2027 Shrine Bowl 1000 Watchlist, a recognition that places him among the most closely watched prospects for the upcoming NFL Draft.

A milestone selection

His 2025 campaign was nothing short of breakout, as he topped the Eagles with 510 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches, earning All‑Mid‑American Conference Third Team honors.

Devereaux’s most memorable performance came against Ohio, where he posted a career‑high 121 yards and two touchdowns, becoming the 65th player in program history to register a 100‑yard receiving game.

The Shrine Bowl’s Legacy

The East‑West Shrine Bowl, which has been a launchpad for professional football careers since 1925, will benefit Shriners Children’s through the proceeds of the showcase game.

Looking ahead, Eastern Michigan is set to open the 2026 season on August 29 at Rynearson Stadium, where Devereaux hopes to continue building on his momentum.
