The 2026 Big Ten Football Media Days will take place in Chicago from July 28 through July 30, transforming the Hilton Chicago into a hub of press conferences, studio interviews and analysis for the conference’s upcoming season.

Maryland’s Spotlight on Thursday

On Thursday, July 30, the Maryland Terrapins will join Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Northwestern and Washington in a showcase that underscores the conference’s depth and excitement.

Head coach Michael Locksley will lead the Terrapin delegation, while senior linebacker Daniel Wingate, junior offensive lineman Michael Hershey and sophomore quarterback Malik Washington will represent Maryland as student‑athlete participants.

The Big Ten Network will provide live coverage throughout the event, beginning with a coaches’ press conference anchored by Mike Hall and Jake Butt from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET.

Following the press conference, the B1G Live: B1G Football Media Day Special will air from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET, featuring Locksley’s own press conference at 12:45 p.m. ET and a studio set appearance at 3:15 p.m. ET.
