A 12‑year partnership reshapes NHL broadcasting
Prime Video announced on Tuesday that it has struck a 12‑year agreement with Rogers Communications to become the exclusive broadcaster of NHL regular‑season games on Wednesday evenings in Canada, beginning with the 2026‑27 season and running through 2037‑38.
Under the deal, at least 26 games each year will air on Prime Video, alongside three playoff series, all presented in both English and French. Subscribers will be able to watch the content at no extra charge, further cementing the platform’s sports portfolio.

The arrangement builds on Prime Video’s recent experience with Monday Night Hockey, which it has aired for the past two seasons, and expands the league’s reach into the streaming market.
Voices from the industry
Jay Marine, head of global sports for Prime Video, said the partnership deepens the relationship with the NHL and Rogers, while Tony Staffieri, president‑CEO of Rogers Communications, underscored the cultural significance of NHL hockey in Canada.
Gary Bettman, commissioner of the National Hockey League, added that the league is committed to serving both English‑ and French‑language fans, ensuring that the new schedule meets the expectations of a broad audience.
While the on‑air talent and production details have yet to be disclosed, the league and its partners have promised a high‑profile presentation that will bring the fast‑paced action of NHL hockey directly to Canadian viewers.
