Last year Braintree American captured the imagination of the nation after advancing to the Little League World Series, a feat that still resonates among fans and players alike.
This season the offensive firepower is anchored by Aaron Ingegneri of Hanover, who tops the District 8 home run leaderboard with four round‑trippers, while Harry Gouthro and Mason Franzosa of Braintree American have contributed three and two homers respectively.
The schedule is already shaping up to be a showdown of talent, with Braintree American slated to meet Milton National and Hingham set to face the winner of Game 13 in the coming weeks.
District 8’s champion will open pool play on Tuesday, July 21, kicking off a series of matches that will determine the pathway to the state and regional stages.
The Massachusetts State Championships are scheduled for July 30 through August 2 in Holden, where the best of the Bay State will converge on a single diamond.
Following the state event, the New England Regional Tournament will take place in Bristol, Connecticut, from August 8‑13, offering a final gateway to the world stage.
The ultimate prize, the Little League Baseball World Series, will unfold in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, from August 19‑30, where the champion of the New England region will join teams from around the globe.
