DePaul Women’s Basketball Expands Community Reach During WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago

Partnerships with Breakthrough, Voice in Sport, and local creators amplify the Blue Demons’ visibility ahead of the new season

Building Bridges in the Windy City

DePaul Women's Basketball took part in three distinct activations throughout the recent WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, blending on‑court action with off‑court outreach.

A centerpiece of the weekend was a youth basketball clinic held at Revel Motor Row, where the Blue Demons teamed up with Breakthrough, a Chicago‑based nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved athletes.

Following the clinic, DePaul student‑athletes and coaches led a Q&A and meet‑and‑greet, giving young participants a chance to interact directly with the team; head coach Jill M. Pizzotti also represented the program at the Line 'Em Up Community Activation in Robichaux Park.

The following day, Voice in Sport hosted a live studio session at the Voice in Sport Studio, where DePaul staff joined active WNBA players for a conversation that underscored the shared mission of mentoring and advocating for women in sports.

To further connect with the local media landscape, DePaul invited a group of Chicago‑based content creators to Wintrust Arena during the WNBA Three‑Point and Skills Challenge, using the platform to build relationships with influencers and raise awareness for the upcoming season.
