Lefty pitcher Edwin Alicea posted 60 strikeouts over 72.1 innings and made 19 appearances, including 10 starts, before the Detroit Tigers drafted him at pick No. 426.
Closer Ethan Sutton, whose fastball regularly hit the high 90s, recorded nine saves in 20 appearances and was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers at No. 493.
The draft also recognized three members of USF's incoming recruiting class, underscoring the program's growing appeal.
