Belmont University’s athletic departments have once again been celebrated for their commitment to scholarship, as the university received the 2025‑26 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award for the sixth straight season.
The honor, which requires a cumulative team grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, recognized the Bruins for achieving a collective GPA of 3.274 during the 2025‑26 academic year.
Conference‑Wide Accolades
Conference peers such as Bradley, Indiana State, Murray State, Evansville and UIC also earned the distinction, underscoring a broader culture of academic rigor across the league.
Among the individual honorees, senior pitcher Landon Godsey and utility player Jake Maddox were selected for the MVC Scholar‑Athlete Team and earned spots on the CSC Academic All‑District squad, highlighting the program’s dual‑excellence model.
