Hillsdale College announced this week that Kylie Jimenez will join the women's basketball coaching staff for the upcoming 2026‑27 season, bringing a blend of playing pedigree and coaching acumen to the Chargers program.
Jimenez arrives after a distinguished collegiate career at Portland State University, where she earned Big Sky Freshman of the Year, collected All‑Big Sky honors, and helped the team secure its second NCAA Division I tournament appearance. She finished her PSU tenure among the top five in program history for points, three‑pointers and assists.
Her coaching journey includes a stint as an assistant at Metropolitan University of Denver, where she worked directly with star guard Mikylah Espinoza, guiding the player to a doubling of her assist numbers and a first‑team All‑RMAC selection. She also contributed to a four‑win improvement at McNeese State in the Southland Conference and honed her instructional skills with Point Guard College camps.
Internationally, Jimenez played professionally in Berlin before returning to the United States to launch her coaching career, and she was selected for the WBCA So You Want to Be a Coach program in 2022. Her diverse experience is expected to bolster recruiting and player development for Hillsdale.
The Chargers will open the season in Springfield, Illinois, before hosting their first home game on November 18 against Wayne State, a matchup that promises to showcase the new coaching duo's impact.

Athletic director Lynn Kennedy praised the hire, noting Jimenez's proven track record of elevating team performance and her ability to connect with student‑athletes. The addition of Brianna Brennan to the staff further enriches the coaching landscape, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
