Community Soccer Fundraiser in Maui

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women's soccer team will meet Seattle University in an exhibition match on August 9, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at King Kekaulike High School in Pukalani, Maui.

Tickets are priced at $5 per person, and every dollar raised will be directed to the Lahaina Memorial Project and the Lahaina fire fund, supporting ongoing recovery efforts after the recent wildfires.

Following the game, a free soccer clinic for children ages 5 to 14 will begin at 5:45 p.m. on the same day, offering youngsters the chance to learn from players representing both the Rainbow Wahine and Seattle U.

The clinic is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14, and participants must have a signed waiver before taking part in any activities.

Organizers emphasize that the event blends sport with community service, channeling the enthusiasm of the match into tangible support for those affected by the Lahaina fires.
