Eric Szczepinski has been named Cincinnati's Senior Director of Football Communications, a role that will place him at the helm of the university's public relations and media relations efforts for the Bearcats football program.
A career built on both college and professional stages
The veteran brings a blend of collegiate and NFL experience, having spent four years at Army West Point where he rose to assistant athletic director for athletic communications, and four seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
His work extended to the national stage, where he helped the league’s communications team during Super Bowl LIII and Super Bowl LIV, further sharpening his ability to manage high‑profile media narratives.
A 2018 graduate of Walsh University, Szczepinski holds a foundation that complements his practical expertise, positioning him to guide the Bearcats’ storytelling as they aim for continued athletic growth.
He will join the department alongside Senior Associate Athletics Director Zach Stipe, who will continue to oversee external communications for Cincinnati Athletics, while his wife Melisa and daughter Emilia, born earlier this year, settle into the Clifton community.
