A Mission Before the Court
Kasen Bryce, a standout guard from Preston, Idaho, has officially verbally committed to the College of Southern Idaho’s men’s basketball program, a move that will officially take effect after he completes a two‑year missionary service in Quezon City, Philippines.
During his senior season at Preston High School, Bryce helped the team to a 46‑6 record over the past two years, averaging 12.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game while racking up 86 dunks in his final two campaigns. His performances earned him the 2025 5A State Tournament defensive MVP and the 2025‑26 Herald Journal All‑Valley Boys Basketball Player of the Year honors.
Bryce credits the senior teammates he shared the court with during his junior year for shaping his work ethic and competitive fire, a sentiment he says will carry over to his future role with the CSI men’s team.
After returning from the Philippines, Bryce hopes to bring the same tenacity and energy he cultivated abroad to the Golden Eagles, where he will join a program that has already secured a strong recruiting class and looks to build on recent successes.
Looking Ahead
The College of Southern Idaho, represented by its athletic department and the broader campus community, is excited to welcome Bryce, a player whose blend of skill and character aligns with the school’s values. Officials at the college have highlighted his defensive prowess and playmaking ability as assets that could bolster the team’s depth and competitiveness in upcoming seasons.
