Amy Reif has been appointed Director of Strategic Operations & Player Development for the Auburn Soccer program, a role that builds on her eight‑year tenure as Director of Soccer Operations.
A Legacy of Leadership
Before joining the soccer staff, Reif spent five years as an assistant softball coach at Auburn, where she contributed to the program’s first NCAA Regional appearance in 2002. She later became head coach at Park University, amassing a 268‑169 record and earning the distinction of the school’s winningest coach. Her leadership earned her the 2008 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honor and a place on the Park Athletics Wall of Honor in 2022, after guiding the Pirates to their inaugural NAIA National Tournament in 2009.
Head coach James Armstrong highlighted her work ethic, professionalism, and genuine care for players and staff, stating that her promotion reflects a commitment to elevating the program’s strategic framework and operational excellence.
Strategic Vision for the Program
In her new position, Reif will steer strategic planning, oversee operational execution, and focus on enhancing the student‑athlete experience, ensuring that development extends beyond the field.
Reif holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Auburn University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership, also bringing experience as a production assistant at ESPN and a paralegal at Basri Law LLC.
A native of Kansas City, Kansas, she is married to former Auburn baseball player Derek Reif, and together they raise two sons, Storm and Cash.
