Penn State Eyes a Full‑Throttle Return
At the recent Big Ten Media Days, Penn State head coach Matt Campbell took the podium to outline the Nittany Lions’ outlook as fall camp gears up to begin on August 5.
Campbell emphasized that the squad enters the training period with a clean bill of health, highlighting the full participation of linebacker Tony Rojas, tight end Andrew Rappleyea and quarterback Alex Manske, all of whom have been cleared to take the field.
Recoveries in Motion
The coach also pointed to a group of players nursing injuries — Alex Tatsch, safety Jeremiah Cooper and tight end Gabe Burkle — who are working toward being ready for the season opener on September 5, adding a layer of optimism to the roster’s depth.
Tatsch, who has been limited at the start of camp, is targeting a full return by the first game, while Cooper’s knee rehab has progressed steadily, and Burkle’s recovery is on a similar trajectory.
The convergence of seasoned veterans and emerging talent sets the stage for a competitive start, with the coaching staff confident that the team’s chemistry will translate into on‑field execution when the first whistle blows.
