Christie Laser Projectors Transform the Hockey Hall of Fame Experience

A partnership between Audio Video Design, Applied Electronics and Christie brings immersive 4K visuals to Toronto’s premier hockey museum

Laser Projectors Light Up the Hall

The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto has unveiled a cutting‑edge visual upgrade that leverages Christie’s laser projection technology to bring hockey history to life for visitors.

Two of Christie’s latest laser models now illuminate the 125‑seat TSN Theatre and the 120‑seat Tim Horton’s Theatre, delivering 4K resolution and vivid colour that turns archival footage and family‑friendly narratives into immersive experiences.

The installation, designed by Audio Video Design and executed by Christie partner Applied Electronics, replaces an earlier GS Series setup in the National Bank World of Hockey Zone, raising the brightness to more than 20,000 lumens across three blended projectors.

Rodney Joffe, owner of Audio Video Design, worked closely with Christie to fine‑tune placement and settings, while Mike Dalton, vice president of the Audio Visual Systems Division at Applied Electronics, highlighted the collaborative spirit that made the project possible. Joe Mercier, senior sales manager at Christie, expressed excitement that the company’s projectors would help tell the story of ice hockey on a global stage.

The new system not only enhances the guest experience but also aligns with the Hall’s mission to engage, educate and inspire visitors through powerful visual storytelling, ensuring that each fan can relive iconic moments in spectacular clarity.
