Arkansas basketball has officially offered a scholarship to Lewis Uvwo, a 6‑10, 225‑pound center who is already generating buzz as one of the most promising prospects in the 2027 class.
A Defensive Anchor Emerges
Uvwo has impressed during the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 9.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 6.1 blocks per game while shooting 72.7% from the field in his latest weekend performances.
The recent ranking update placed him No. 19 overall and third among centers in the 2027 class, a jump that reflects his rapid ascent after two strong Nike EYBL sessions this summer.
247Sports analyst Adam Finkelstein highlighted Uvwo’s defensive dominance, noting his ability to protect the rim and alter shots as a rare combination of size, timing and athleticism.
Uvwo’s journey includes a stint at the NBA Academy before joining Prolific Prep earlier this year, where his physical upside and defensive tools have continued to attract attention from top programs.
