Pete Nochta has been appointed interim general manager of the University of Kentucky football program, stepping into the role vacated by Pat Biondo, who announced his departure from the position earlier this week.

During his playing years, he contributed at the tight end position from 2006 through 2010, later returning to Louisville as a graduate assistant in 2014 before moving into the front office.
