Playoff Expansion
Ferentz voiced his support for expanding the College Football Playoff to 24 teams, arguing that a larger field would give more programs a chance to compete and would better reflect the sport’s competitive balance.
He welcomed the addition of Tom Moore, a former Hawkeye star, who will serve as a senior consultant, bringing his experience and wisdom to the staff.
The veteran coach expressed unease about the current state of college football, citing a lack of consistent structure and enforcement of rules as a growing concern.
