According to the prosecutor’s office, the incident left approximately nineteen teammates watching without intervening, while no coaching staff were present to supervise the space. The victim’s mother discovered the abuse through a friend and sought medical attention for injuries to the teen’s genitals, underscoring the severity of the attack.
The school district responded by canceling the remainder of the 2025 football season just hours before a scheduled senior night game, a decision that sparked intense debate among parents, students and local officials. Legal Repercussions
