The Oklahoma Sooners have released their 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule, a lineup that blends a modest non‑conference stretch with a rugged SEC slate.
The announcement, made on Monday, confirms a light pre‑conference schedule before the team steps into conference play.
After finishing the previous season with a 21‑16 record, the Sooners will be without three key contributors — Nijel Pack, Tae Davis and Mohamed Wague — who helped shape last year’s roster.
Head coach Porter Moser will count on newcomers Khani Rooths, Tyler Hendricks, Pop Isaacs, Yaak Yaak and freshman Gage Mayfield to fill the gaps left by those departures.
SEC slate promises tough battles
The schedule pits Oklahoma against several nationally ranked opponents, including a clash with No. 1‑ranked Florida, as well as games versus No. 5 Texas and No. 10 Arkansas.
In addition, the Sooners will test themselves against Purdue, another top‑10 program, before diving into SEC competition.
Analysts project a final record of 18‑14 overall and 7‑11 in the SEC, suggesting the team may stumble against the league’s elite.
The full slate also includes road trips to venues across the country, from the deserts of Arizona to the basketball‑rich markets of New York, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and South Carolina.
